Why Mechanical Watches Are Perfect To Buy

Most of the people looking for a new watch do not really know what to look for in a watch other than looks hence they end up buying a quartz watch that has battery-powered movement built in. Many of the mechanical watches on the other hand powers themselves by the movement of wearer’s wrist. Some require manual hand winding to reset the clock powering mechanism (springs and gears). The term mechanical is the hook in a timepiece that does not require a battery to run. It has a rotor that rotates when your wrist is in motion.

Mechanical watch in my personal opinion is a sensitive purchase as you power it literally either by hand winding or by wearing. If you buy a mechanical watch with open back then you can also see the movement in action. Mechanical watches are luxury and can cost up to $10000 for a Rolex and above. That does not mean you cannot own a good mechanical watch from a reliable brand for under $300. Mechanical watches also directly relates to history dating back to water-powered escapement mechanism, which used rotational energy in 3rd century BC by ancient Greece. In addition, they look good and constantly evolving with new materials like silicon. You do not have to deal with a dead battery as well. Mechanical watches are also labeled as automatic. Below are two very famous mechanical watches under $300.

Hamilton Khaki Navy

Hamilton Khaki Navy features a stainless steel case and silicon bracelet, distinct by a black dial and revolving bezel. Khaki Navy watch displays the date between 4 o’clock and 5 o’clock. The back of the case is see-through that reveals the insides of the automatic watch.

Tissot T-Classic

Tissot T-Classic is the watch you should buy if you are in the market looking for a classy watch that looks good in formal and casual wear. Featuring a premium band, anthracite steel black case with golden bezel and black dial with golden numbers. With a 50-hour power reserve, this watch will live much longer than other options in the market at this price point.

You can still get a luxury watch under $3000 if you are looking to get ultra classy.
