So if you want to learn about the best ideas for making money online, read on:
One of the most popular ways of making money online is by blogging. It’s no surprise if you think about it: find a niche you’re interested, write about it three to five times a week, and all of a sudden you’ve got a business making you money! Of course, it’s not that simple. You have to design a website, research your customer base, write regularly, and figure out what ads (affiliate or otherwise) work best for you; but if you’re a creative person or someone who loves to write, it’s a great fit. In 2016, 63 percent of marketers believed their greatest challenge was producing engaging content, so if your blog gets popular, you can eventually work for other companies as a blogger to make some extra cash.
2 Ecommerce store
Another great option is to find a niche market and sell products. This will take a while for you to build up, but with the right kind of website and social media marketing, you can start making money fast. If you have a great idea, and no one else has thought of it yet, you can go far. According to Shopify, the steps of starting an ecommerce store are: (1) choosing a product to sell, (2) researching your competition and preparing your business plan and necessary paperwork, (3) and building up your store online (including choosing the right template). Considering ecommerce sales were already worth $2,304 billion in 2017, and are expected to keep rising through 2021, starting a business now is an investment in your future.
3 Teaching English online
If you’ve ever tutored before, or you have a college degree, another great way of making money is by teaching English online. Companies such as VIPKID–a China-based company for teaching kids English from anywhere in the world–pays on average $18.85-$21.08 per hour, depending on the position you choose. If you set up your own teaching website, with a blog, and use a platform like Skype to give lessons, you can also ask your clients to pay at a similar rate. Whether you choose to work for a company or to start a business on your own, you can teach English from your own home, and get to know cultures worldwide–and if you ever want to travel, having this kind of experience guarantees you a job in any foreign country.
4 Become a vlogger
If you’re a creative person with a certain kind of expertise, and you think you can entertain a large audience on Youtube, becoming a vlogger is another great option. For example, if you’re great at explaining how to fix iPhones without having to go to a genius bar, you could be making money in no time. According to The Balance, it works like this: “You make money with ad revenue. Your first step is to create a YouTube account and start uploading videos. Then you enable monetization on your YouTube settings. Basically, this gives Google the go-ahead to include short AdSense ads with your videos, which you’ve seen if you’ve watched a YouTube video. When viewers click on those ads, you get paid.”
Considering that over 5 billion videos are watched on YouTube every day, this is also a great way to make passive income, getting paid every time someone clicks on any of your ads.
5 Become an online assistant
Finally, if you’re the kind of person who likes to help others, and if you believe yourself to be task-oriented and organized, then you can start an online assistant service. You can start off by taking a look at gigs on TaskRabit and Zirtual, and then once you’ve pumped up your CV enough, you can apply for jobs almost anywhere that’s hiring remote workers. By 2027, 58 percent of the workforce will be freelancing–so by getting started now, you’ll be way ahead of competitors later.
