How to Send Electronic Items From Costco for Repair
The return deadline for Costco electronics is 90 days from the date of purchase. By far, the easiest way to return something to Costco, no matter if it was bought online or in-store, is to return the item to a Costco warehouse. All you have to do is bring the product to the customer service counter and they will handle the rest. If you don’t live near a Costco or are strictly against leaving your home, there is a return option available online.
Simply visit Costco.com and click on the orders and returns tab on the upper right-hand side of the page. Then submit the order number with the items and press return or replace. After that, just select the products you wish to return by clicking the box next to the item and choose return or replace selected items.
Your options from here on will vary depending on the type of product you’re trying to return. You will be asked for a reason why you’re not satisfied with the product but, as long as it is within 90 days, the reason can simply be that you don’t want it anymore. One of the last steps is to choose your pick-up method and Costco will e-mail you a return shipping label. Just attach the label to the package with the product and use the preferred shipping method you selected earlier.
Though Costco offers service and repair warranties, the actual repairs are done through the product’s manufacturer. Once you hand off your damaged product to Costco they send it to whoever made it and, from that point on, it is best to just contact the manufacturer for updates.
