Repair Clinic: A Web Site for your Appliance Repair Needs
Back in December, I wrote about How I beat Sears and saved $233 by repairing my GE Profile refrigerator myself. I ordered the part from RepairClinic.com, and because I have been so pleased with my experiences (twice) with them, I’d like to review their site for you.
Repair Clinic has numerous features throughout their site to help you, the makeshift repairman, to choose the right part and to help install it properly. They cover Refrigerators, Air Conditioners, Ovens, Ranges, Stoves, Dishwashers, and Water Heaters:
- Their Part Detective has helped me find the right part for my GE fridge twice now (an ice maker and air inlet/damper set). I just need a few pieces of information like Model Number or Manufacturer and they’ll bring back a list of potential parts. I do wish they had an advanced search to help filter the results a bit more, but I’ve been able to pick out the right part by its looks so far.
- The Repair Guru or Online Help has a wealth of information to help you. For example, you can find appliance diagrams, explanations of how things work, and recall information. You can also Email the Repair Guru
- They also carry accessories such as water and air filter replacements, garbage disposals, bulbs, tools, and other miscellaneous parts.
- Their shipping costs are reasonable and they ship VERY quickly. I received both parts I ordered within 2 days after ordering, and I only used regular shipping.

I’ve ordered from them several times and I love the scale overlays on the parts. Very helpful.

I did a Google search on repairclinic.com. It appears that they may have scam in place where they are selling customer’s credit card numbers to third parties and those third parties are charging $10/month for some useless service. Look into it before buying from them.

Repair Clinic has always been great for us. You can always get the manufacturer’s part number from their website also, and then take that part number to ebay or amazon and find the best price on a used part.
