Last-Minute Gifts for the Nerd in Your Life
The holidays are just a few months away and its probably a good idea to start thinking ahead when it comes to getting your holiday shopping done. With new technology coming out all the time, it can be hard to keep up with what your loved ones are into. If you’re struggling to find presents that you can actually go out and buy, here are some last-minute gifts for the nerd in your life.
Bose Earbuds
The first item on our list is Bose QuietComfort Earbuds. Bose is a company with a legendary reputation for making some of the best sound equipment on the market. One of the best features of the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds is the acoustic noise-canceling technology. With these headphones, you can go from a busy workplace or dorm to complete silence with just a tap.
By using internally mounted microphones these earbuds actively monitor the ambient noise levels and produce the opposite signal canceling out all unwanted sounds. A few other features of the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds include Bluetooth 5.1 for a rock-solid connection within 30 feet of your device, simple touch controls, a secure comfortable fit, all while still providing a high fidelity audio experience.
While I have never personally owned these specific Bose headphones, my wife and I have been using Bose headphones for years and will probably pick these up when our old Bose Sound Sports finally kick the bucket.
Hoverboard
Another great last-minute nerd gift is the Hover 1 Ranger Electric Self-balancing Scooter. The reason I chose this gift is that Hoverboards are pretty cool and they are way cheaper than I’d previously thought. At BestBuy right now, for the low price of $129, you can give your nerdy loved one this two-wheel self-propelled dentist. This electric death machine is guaranteed to leave the nerd in your life in a twisted heap on the side of the street.
A few key features of the Hover 1 Ranger Electric Scooter are built-in Bluetooth spears, a top speed of 15 miles per hour, and a long enough battery life to carry your child up 18 miles away from home. With all jokes aside, a Hoverboard is no less safe than a skateboard or a bicycle. Just be sure to also get them a helmet and a mouthguard.
Marvel Comics subscription
Our final last-minute gift is a Marvel Unlimited subscription. Marvel Unlimited is an awesome gift for the comic book fan in your life, children, or even just avid readers. For just $9.99 a month or $69 a year, you can read digital copies of thousands of Marvel comic books.
Marvel Unlimited is more than just a library you can choose your favorite heroes and the app will give you suggestions on story arcs to read from Marvel over 50 years back catalog of comics. On top of that, you get to read all the new comics as soon as they come out.
Don’t forget, if you have a lot of comics, you’ll need a place to store them.
