Google Reader Not Reporting Numbers – Feb 21, 2007
Don’t worry people, I haven’t had a max-exodus of readers from my site. Not that most of you would have noticed anyway, but my reader count is about half the normal count today. I logged into Feedburner and sure enough, Google isn’t reporting numbers. I also found this on Building Nutrition.com. And since John Chow recently reported his subscriber numbers at 16,000 and they’re only 10,000 today, I think it’s more than just my account.
But if you’re not a subscriber already, take this opportunity to sign up via RSS Reader (even if Google isn’t counting them today) or Email. If you don’t know what RSS is, check out this quick little RSS tutorial.

I’m glad I’m not the only one! This morning, I thought, “What did I say to offend so many people?” lol

My number is about half of normal this morning so it certainly seems like they’re having problems.

Wow!
That is a huge drop.
But, who really cares. I only blog for my own mental stability. 🙂

I’m glad you shared this with us – I was wondering I had done to tick so many people off!
Jonathan says
Yeah, I was pretty bummed to see I had lost about 40% of my subscribers.

I had the same thought, but Feedburner didn’t even report on this. In fact, they say they’ve got “tighter” integration with Google since they were bought.
Well, at least the numbers are back to where they should be today.
