Gifts To Give Your Wife Based on Her Love Language
Picking out a great gift for my wife is often difficult. Luckily, she’s made me an Amazon list of things to choose from any time I’m stumped. However, one great thing to consider if you are scratching your head about what gift to buy is her love language. Think about what speaks to her heart, what will show her that you pay attention and really care. So, here are some love language gifts to consider based on her heart’s preference.
1. Words of Affirmation
If your wife thrives on verbal encouragement, consider gifts that come with heartfelt messages. Personalized jewelry with engraved messages or nameplate necklaces can be a beautiful way to remind her of your love. Customized wall art featuring quotes or love letters can decorate your home and uplift her spirits every day. Alternatively, you could write a collection of love letters in a beautifully bound book. Another great idea is to give her a daily affirmation calendar filled with positive quotes.
2. Acts of Service
Acts of service can be a hard love language to figure out a perfect gift. She may not really value material things, but there are some things that you can buy to help her. A robot vacuum cleaner can take care of household chores, giving her more free time. You could also arrange for a professional home organization service to help declutter and organize her space or even a laundry service that handles pick-up and delivery. Of course, you could also take on a household project she’s been wanting to complete.
3. Receiving Gifts
If your wife’s love language is receiving gifts, it might seem like you have your work cut out for you. But you should focus on thoughtful and unique items. Personalized photo books filled with memories of your time together make for a heartfelt and nostalgic gift. You could also buy her a designer handbag or piece of jewelry that she’s had her eye on. My personal favorite is an experience gift, like a weekend getaway or a cooking class.
4. Quality Time
Discovering new ways to spend time together will always be a great gift for a wife who values quality time. Plan a romantic getaway and surprise her. Or find a couples’ activity, like a dance class or a cooking class. These activities can be a great opportunity to bond. Other great ideas include:
- A subscription to a date night box
- His-and-hers hobbies (bicycles or painting supplies or something similar)
- Personalized date jar
- Planning out a series of surprise dates
5. Physical Touch
If your wife’s love language is physical touch, gifts that encourage closeness and intimacy are perfect. Consider a massage gift certificate for a couples’ massage experience. Some of the gifts my wife has really loved in this vein included a set of silk pajamas, cozy blankets, a romantic bath set, and a weighted blanket. Of course, you can always look for a subscription service for some of these items too, which will keep her stocked with things she loves.
Understanding Your Wife’s Love Language
When you have a deep understanding of your wife’s love language, you can pick out a gift that will resonate with her. There are plenty of great options out there. At the end of the day, she’ll appreciate the thought and effort you put into choosing a gift. It will strengthen your bond and let her know how much you care.
