Best Debt Posts from Carnival of Debt Reduction #102
Mighty Bargain Hunter posted a short carnival this week, but I enjoyed all of the submissions. I’m just glad I didn’t need to slog through 70+ articles to do this recap!
My own article “No So Frugal Lunch” was featured in the 102nd Carnival of Debt Reduction. Here are some of my favorites:
- Amatureist Financial Journey does a detailed calculation of paying off student loans or investing. You know I hate debt, so I go with philosophy #2. The intangible risks are what get me, not the potential for reward. I’m in the camp with a student loan higher than 6%, and I’ll be taking care of that next.
- I enjoyed Gather Little by Little’s assessment of “all debt is bad“. We’re on the same page, as shown when I wrote Classifying your Debt: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Granted, I called student loans the “Good” debt, but I had to keep to the theme!
- Blunt Money describes the moment she realized she was in debt and needed a solution. That came a few years back for me, and since then, we’ve paid off almost $60,000 in non-home debt.

I am glad you enjoyed my article! I don’t normally write allot on debt, but this topic is particularly near and dear to my heart. I will soon be entering the work force with quite allot of student debt.
