Get all three Phish Live in Hampton, VA albums for free (limited time)
Thanks to Pants in a Can for alerting me to this limited time offer to download all 3 of the upcoming Phish in Hampton Coliseum live sets in MP3 format from LivePhish.com for free.
I’m only a marginal Phish fan, but I can’t resist a good jam, and I loved their rendition of “Gin and Juice” (originally by Snoop Dog) (Edit: Apparently the song was done by The Gourds. Thanks MatH), so I signed up to preorder all three sets. The concerts are 3/6, 3/7 and 3/8, so they’ll email me when the MP3s are ready to download. I had to register an account and proceed through checkout, but there was no charge and they didn’t ask for payment information.
So for all you Phish fans that can’t make it to this reunion festival, fear not that you’ll miss it. You can smoke up in the comfort of your own home while jamming along to “Sample in a Jar” and other Phish classics. And by “smoke up” I mean groove to the music legally, perhaps with a gallon of Kool-Aid and a case of Doritos and some incense.

That version of Gin and Juice was by “The Gourds”. It is a common mistake. When that version was going around on Napster pack in the day, it was incorrectly titled. I think it is one of the best and most creative covers I’ve ever heard.
Here’s a link to an article with the Gourds that discusses it: http://www.jambase.com/Articles/16539/The-Gourds-Luddite-Juice-and-Tex-Mex-Miles
But thanks for the heads up, I’d call myself a marginal Phish fan too.
Cheers

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I would not have known about this great deal if not for you & Pants-In-A-Can. You have both made my week. Now I can’t be jealous of all my hometown folks (VA Beach, VA) who were there in person. Well, a little jealous, but a lot less green than I was last weekend!
