4 Inexpensive Ideas To Enhance Your Valentine’s Day
It’s Valentine’s Day, and people are scurrying to complete last minute plans to get something for their significant other. I walked into Walmart on my way to the gym at 5 am and almost every customer in the store was carrying flowers, a card, or something red and pink. Maybe you’ve already completed your Valentine’s Day gift buying, or maybe you’re looking for a little something to add to your plans to make the day extra special for your love. Here are a list of X free or inexpensive things you can incorporate to put the cherry on top of your Valentine’s Day:
Unexpected Note/Text
Send your significant other a text in the middle of the day letting them know you’re thinking of them, or in anticipation of later plans. If you leave a note, leave it somewhere they are sure to find it such as the coffee machine or the bathroom mirror. This takes only a minute, costs nothing, and lets your loved one know you are thinking of them.
Slow Dance
On a day celebrating love, getting close and slow dancing with your significant other is a perfect activity. Play a song you both love your stereo or phone, grab your partner and spend the next few minutes dancing in the middle of your living room.
Massage
You don’t have to be an expert, you don’t even really need to know what you’re doing. I’ve never met a person who disliked having the person they love to rub their back or head. You could choose the whole candles in a dark room laying on the bed massage, or, you could simply sit behind them on the floor and start rubbing their back as they watch tv.
Strawberries/Chocolate/Champagne
This one will cost a little money, but not a lot. A person can pick up an inexpensive bottle of champagne, a package of strawberries, and some meltable chocolate for around $15. Melt the chocolate in the microwave, and dip the strawberries in it. Then put the strawberries in the refrigerator to let the chocolate harden. Later, pop the champagne and enjoy the bubbly and strawberries together.
While you should show love and affection towards your significant other every day of the year, Valentine’s Day is a special day where you can take it up a notch. Doing so doesn’t have to cost you a lot of money, or any at all for that matter. Thoughtful actions can make someone feel as appreciated and loved as material objects!
