Review: Ordering Furniture Online From Sam’s Club
Finding the right furniture can be difficult. There may be massive showrooms filled with choices, but sometimes you just can’t find what you’re looking for. I was having trouble finding exactly what I wanted for an upgrade for my son’s room and happened to find some furniture that looked good on the Sam’s Club website. Online shopping is a great option for most other things, but is it viable for furniture shopping? Selecting a desk and a nightstand, I was about to find out if ordering furniture online from Sam’s Club was a good idea.
Cost
The item cost was much more in line with purchasing something from a furniture store than the assemble yourself furniture you purchase from retailers like Target or Walmart. Buying furniture I hadn’t seen at that price point made me a little wary.
Shipping Costs
The desk and nightstand I ordered were shipped separately, but each item weighs a significant amount. One would assume there would be a substantial shipping cost, but there wasn’t. The items were shipped to my home completely free of charge.
Assembly
Since the furniture was being shipped to my home, I assumed it would be shipped to me in pieces, as compactly as possible. I expected a thick assembly manual, and the dedication of hours of my time to put them together. To my surprise, the desk came completely assembled except for the legs and the nightstand required no assembly at all.
Quality
With the higher price point of the furniture, I was hoping the items would be made from pieces of solid wood and not particle board. The furniture I ordered didn’t disappoint. Both pieces were made from real wood panels, and put together solidly.
Sam’s Club has an impressive selection of furniture available on their website. While I only ordered two items, they were of high quality, required little assembly and didn’t cost me anything to have them shipped to my home. While it may be nice to see a piece of furniture in person before buying it, ordering furniture online from Sam’s Club is a great option.

We ordered a kitchen table and chair set from Costco. We had to put it together but it was pretty easy and the price was unbeatable.

So disappointed with Sam’s home delivery! First, they came two and a half hours earlier than the two hour window given to us the day before. Then, the patio furniture was left boxed on my front porch. They could not get the box through the door so I asked them to unbox the furniture. They refused. When you pay $1500.00 for a product you would think the least they could do was unbox it!
