How far are you willing to go for $10,000 in cash?

One of my favorite games EVER is playing “would you rather” – especially on long road trips with all of my friends. While most of the questions end up turning out pretty graphic and need censorship (sorry, can’t post those here!), they always start out nice and thought-provoking like, “would you rather be super hot but smell horrible, OR would you rather be ugly but smell incredible 24/7?“.
Fun, right? haha… while the majority of the questions center around good looks and/or just really really childish stuff, they almost inevitably go down the money route as well, like the famous, “What would you do with a million dollars?” one. Not EXACTLY a “would you rather” question, but nonetheless interesting … and thus the reason for this post 😉
So while the elections are still in the rear view mirror and nobody’s tired of it yet (HAH!), I have created a special question for my man Clever Dude. And here it is:
“Would you, for $10,000 in cash – publicly announce to the world on national TV AND your site (if applicable) that you strongly support, AND admire, the opposite candidate you actually voted for?”
Haha…ooooh, that was a GOOD one 🙂 I’d imagine those who aren’t that passionate about it wouldn’t care all that much and would gladly take the money, but what about those hardcore supporters? I mean, $10G’s is a lot of money! Do you think your family, friends, and co-workers (or even your blog readers) would really CARE that much about your ideals?
For me? I’d take the money and run! haha…i’d sellout in a heartbeat. Hell yeah I think Obama is the man and I proudly voted for him, but McCain is a decent human being and i wouldn’t mind taking $hit from saying so for a few weeks. People (aka those who know who i am) will forget in no time, and the rest of the world wouldn’t even notice since I’m a nobody. But some of you are so hardcore about your candidate (or against to other one) that you would rather die than admit your admiration and support.
What about you all? Would you pocket that money and get out of dodge? It’s an interesting question either way. it’s just too bad it’ll never come true 😉
While $10K would go a long way to offset the 10% pay cut I just got…. I think I would be able to resist it.
Now as that number got bigger, I would have a hard time saying no. $50K… not even a pause I would do it in a heartbeat.
I’d sing Obama’s praises and laugh all the way to the bank.

$10k is a lot of moolah… would i eventually be able to explain to people why i did it? Or would i have to keep the secret to myself?

I would verbally support the opposite candidate for $10k, however I would never sell out my vote for any price.
